DeFi is often contrasted with CeFi and even TradFi, but what do these acronyms stand for? Depending on who you talk to, it could be considered an Eldorado for earning returns with cryptocurrencies, a scam paradise, a jungle of shitcoins, a financial Wild West without rules, or a space for regained and uncensorable financial freedom.

In this course, we will look at the origins and specific features of DeFi and some essential concepts. This course is a general introduction to the world of DeFi to help you approach other courses on the subject with the necessary basics and to form your own opinion.
